Dataset’s 'Bin Scanner' app allows Waste Contractors toassigncontainers to customers prior to delivery using RFIDtechnology.Now available on Android, previously this task couldonly be doneon very expensive PDS devices. The app will prompt forthe customerID to either be keyed in or scanned from a barcode,Then, using theBluetooth RFID scanner the user scans the RFID inthe wheeledcontainer, selects the bin size (e.g. 240 litre, 360litre etc.)from the drop down list along with the material type(e.g. waste,recycling etc.). The app will also assign the GPSco-ordinates sothat the back office system has a record of thelocation to whichthe bin was delivered. This data will importstraight into yourDataset back office system. Soon to come… thedata from thescanning exercise will be sent back over air and inreal time.
